The William Jewell College men's tennis team dropped a non-conference road match to McKendree University, 9-0, at Kings Point Racquet Club in Belleville, Ill., on Friday afternoon.

Bryan Thomas and Michael Rawat fought hard but were defeated 8-5 at the No. 1 doubles slot.  Max Cooper and Chris Reimer dropped an 8-4 decision at No. 2 doubles while Jimmy Hunter and AJ Naanep were shutout 8-0. 

In singles action, Thomas lost a tough 6-2, 7-5 match to Luciano Misitrano.  Hunter fell 6-0,  6-3 at No. 2 while Max Cooper dropped a close 6-4, 6-4 match at No. 3.

Michael Rawat also lost a tough match falling 7-5, 6-3 at No. 4 singles and Isaac Hamilton and Dean Pinhas fell at No. 5 and No. 6 singles respectively in straight sets. 

The Cards (3-3) will be back in action on Wednesday, March 12 in an exhibition match against Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan.  First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
