The Cardinals got on the board early with a 9-8 win at No. 1 doubles by
Bryan Thomas and Michael Rawat.
Jimmy Hunter and
Michael Wiskirchen fell 8-3 at No.2 doubles and
Max Cooper and
Chris Reimer were defeated 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.
The Cardinals lone singles victory came from
Isaac Hamilton at the No. 4 singles spot as he won a three set thriller 6-4, 5-7, 11-9. Washburn took the other five singles matches in straight sets.
William Jewell is now 4-7 on the season and will travel to Kansas City, Mo., on Wednesday, April 9 to take on the University of Missouri-Kansas City at 5:00 p.m.
