First-year forward Aaron Froehlich found the back of the net twice to lead the William Jewell College men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Parkside at Greene Stadium in Liberty, Mo., on Sunday afternoon.
 
The victory upped the Cardinals' overall record to 1-3-2 on the season and 1-1-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.  Parkside, meanwhile, dropped to 2-4 overall and 0-4 in the GLVC. 
 
The Rangers took the lead in the game's fourth minute for the early edge as Antonio Gonzalez scored on a breakaway from the left wing to give Parkside a 1-0 edge. 
 
Froehlich then tied the game up at the 21:59 mark off a penalty kick.  The score would remain tied at the half 1-1. 
 
Froehlich scored the winning goal on a shot from the left wing at the 58:07 mark. 
 
Jewell ended the game trailing 14-9 in shots and led 5-1 in corner kicks.  Goalie Shane Van Hooser finished with seven saves in 90 minutes of play. 
 
William Jewell travels to St. Louis on Friday, September 26 to take on Maryville University.  Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
