The William Jewell College men's soccer team was edged by Maryville University on Friday afternoon 1-0 in overtime in St. Louis, Mo. 

The Cardinals fall to 1-4-2 overall and 1-2-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and will take on University of Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Jewell outshot the Saints 6-1 in the first half only to see Maryville gain a 6-3 advantage in the second half. 

Henry Wynd shot home the game winner six minutes into the first overtime to give the Saints the win. 

Senior goalkeeper Shane Van Hooser fell to 1-4-2 overall and had six saves in the loss.
