The William Jewell College men's soccer team celebrated senior night on Friday against Saint Joseph's College but came out on the short end of a 3-0 shutout.  Jewell falls to 3-9-2 overall and 2-7-1 in GLVC play.  The Pumas improve to 8-5-0 and 7-4-0 in league play.   
 
Before the game the Cardinals honored seniors Joe Keeven, Brodi Sabiston, Jeremiah Smith, and Spencer Bush. 
 
The first half saw both teams battle evenly as The Pumas and Cardinals both had five shots total and Saint Joseph's held a 2-1 advantage in shots on goal.  However, the score at half was 0-0. 
 
Thirteen minutes into the second half Puma Midfielder Sabastian Quinteros scored his third goal of the year to break the 0-0 tie.  Three minutes later Lucas Moreira scored off a deflection from Jewell goalie Luke Heaton to give Saint Joseph's a 2-0 lead.  The Pumas were able to hold on to that lead for the final margin of victory.

Smith led the Cardinals with three shots including two on goal.  Heaton in his first start of the year in goal recorded four saves.
 
Jewell will close out the home portion of 2015 on Sunday, October 18 when they host University of Indianapolis.   Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
