The William Jewell College men's tennis team closed out its fall season with an 8-1 non-conference loss to Baker University on Friday afternoon at William Jewell. 

In doubles, Marc Gartner and Amery Clews fell 8-3 at No. 1 while Isaac Hamilton and AJ Naanep also fell 8-3 at No. 2.  Pedro Uno and Jacob Plant dropped an 8-2 decision which gave Baker a commanding 3-0 lead after doubles play.

Jewell's lone point came from Clews who won 4-6, 6-1, 11-9 at number-two singles.

The Cardinals will open up the Spring season on February 5 as they host Concordia College (NE) at Clayview Country Club.
