Jordan Lewis registered a season-high ten saves, but William Jewell College dropped a 2-0 road decision at Lewis University this afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference women's soccer action.
Senior forward
Jade Gifford put up a team-high shots four shots including one on goal.
Lewis goalkeeper Jennifer Meyer made five saves en route to the shutout.
McKenzie Fuller gave the Flyers an early advantage when she received a cross from Meg Carmody and fired a shot past Lewis in the seventh minute of the game.
Carmody would add an assist later in the match, as she connected with Lena Trentl in the 50th minute to give Lewis a 2-0 lead.
Jewell was outshot 22-11 in the game, and Lewis held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
Jewell (6-8-3, 4-8-2 GLVC) will close out the 2015 regular season this Wednesday night at Rockhurst University at 5:00 p.m.
