The William Jewell College women's soccer team travelled to Rockhurst University for a Great Lakes Valley Conference match-up on Wednesday. Down 1-0 just six minutes into the game, Jewell rallied to score four unanswered goals and triumphed, 4-1. With the win, the Cards finish the 2015 season with an overall record of 7-8-3 and 5-8-2 in the GLVC. Rockhurst drops to 7-5-6 overall and 7-5-3 in league play.
The Hawks led 1-0 as Courtney Silberberg scored at the 6:35 mark and held the lead until the 18 minute mark of the first half when senior
Jade Gifford tied the score with seventh goal of the season. The score would remain 1-1 at the half.
First-year player
Alyson Galler scored the go ahead goal at 57:38 on a pass from first-year
Emma Baldridge.
Baldridge added her fourth goal of the season on a feed from
Aspen Hawkins at 61:38.
Emily Monroe capped the day's scoring as she collected the final goal at 89:40 from Galler.
Senior
Alex Dressman earned the win in goal after making seven saves.
