Box Score The William Jewell College men's soccer team welcomed the Tritons of University of Missouri-St. Louis to Greene Stadium on Friday.   The Tritons came away with a 2-1 overtime win that drops the Cards to 2-8-2 and 1-6-1 in GLVC play.  UMSL moves to 5-4-2 overall and 4-3-2 in league play. 

UMSL dominated the stat sheet in the first half leading 10-3 in shots but was unable to punch any of them in and the first half ended in a 0-0 tie. 

The Tritons finally capitalized on their opportunities when Tyler Collico scored in the 83rd minute to put UMSL up 1-0.  Just when all seemed hopeless the Cardinals then scored on an incredible goal from Hunter Short in the 88th minute as he kicked the ball into the goal backward as he was falling to the ground.  That goal sent the game into overtime.

In overtime, Jon Huelsman scored the golden goal off a header from Clay Stocker four minutes into overtime.

Keeper Joe Keeven recorded two saves on the afternoon for Jewell. 

Next up for the Cardinals is a home contest with Maryville University on Sunday, October 11 at 2:30 p.m.
