The William Jewell women's tennis team lost a hard fought 5-2 match to Harding University on Wednesday in Conway, Ark. 

Jewell took a quick 1-0 advantage when Conner and Loree Hazelrigg won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.  Harding tied the match score 1-1 with an 8-1 win at No. 1 and then rallied to win No. 3 doubles 9-8. 

In singles action, Sabrine Navarro tied the match score 2-2 with a comeback win in three sets 0-6, 6-3, 10-5.  The Bison took No. 1 singles over Savannah Drew 6-1, 6-3.  Conner Hazelrigg and Katy Lehenbauer fell in third set tiebreaks at No.2 and No. 5 singles respectively which gave Harding the match win.

Jewell (6-2)will take on Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
