The William Jewell College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference dual to Rockhurst University on Wednesday at Clayview Country Club. 

The Hawks swept all three double matches with the closest being the number two match.  Marc Gärtner and Isaac Hamilton were bested by an 8-6 count.

In singles, Jimmy Hunter took set two at No. 3 singles but the Rockhurst player rallied with a edged out Hunter by a break 10-7 in the third set for the win.

The other five singles fell by the way of Rockhurst by straight sets.

William Jewell, 3-10 overall and 0-1 in GLVC play will host Truman State University on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
