The William Jewell College softball team split a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader at McKendree University on Sunday afternoon. The Cards edged the Bearcats 1-0 in 8 innings in game one but fell 6-2 in game two.

Shelby McGraw and McKendree's Susan Goetze. The Cardinals were able to score the games only run in the top of the eighth inning when
Rachel Potvin singled home

McGraw earned win number 14 on the season with her outstanding effort on the hill.
Faith Song's two run homerun in the top of the first put the Cards up 2-0 in game two. That lead stood all the way until the bottom of the sixth when the Bearcats exploded for six runs.
McGraw (14-9) took the loss in game two in relief of Song.
