The William Jewell College men's tennis team dropped a tough 6-3 battle to Quincy University on Friday in Quincy, Ill.
The Cardinals came out of doubles play leading 2-1 with a 9-7 win at No. 1 doubles from
Amery Clews and
Jimmy Hunter. Jewell's second doubles win came at No. 2 doubles with Marc Gärtner and
Isaac Hamilton winning 8-5.
Quincy then rallied to take five of the six singles matches with Jewell's lone singles win coming at No. 5 singles as Hamilton was able to pull out a three set victory 6-0, 1-6, 6-2 win.
The Cardinals (4-12, 1-2 GLVC) will take on University of Missouri-St. Louis tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. in St. Louis.
