Box Score The William Jewell College men's soccer team (0-3-0, 0-2) could not come back after giving up two second-half goals on Sunday afternoon as it fell to Missouri S&T (1-3, 1-1) 3-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference Play.
In the first half, Jewell had the edge as it took 10 shots and to S&T's 8. Jewell grabbed an early 1-0 lead at the 11:54 mark when
Ethan Delaney scored from 20 yards out off a pass from
Aaron Froehlich.
The Miners answered back just three minutes before the half with a goal that tied the game 1-1 at the half.
The Miners scored two goals within two minutes of each other at the 71st and 73rd minute respectively which put the game away.
S&T did outshoot the cards 17-15 for the game and led 5-2 in shots on goal.

Joe Keeven made 5 saves on the day and Froehlich led the Cards with six shots.
The Cards will host Southwest Baptist University in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Greene Stadium on the Jewell campus in Liberty, Mo.
