The William Jewell College men's soccer team lost its season finale Wednesday night to No. 6 Rockhurst University by a final score of 3-0.

The Cardinals finish the season with an overall record of 2-14-1 and a conference record of 2-12-1.

The Hawks first scored in the 16th minute. Gianluca Bottoni scored his fourth goal of the season first goal of the game.  Bottoni added his fifth goal of the year less than a minute later off a penalty kick which put Rockhurst up 2-0.

Mitch Moncada scored his fifth goal of the season in the 53rd minute that produced the winning 3-0 margin.

The Cardinals were outshot 20-16 and 13 to 6 in shots on goal.  Hunter Short led the Cardinals with three shots and goalie Quin Ruggeri stopped 9 shots on the night.
