The William Jewell College women's soccer team ended its season with a 2-0 loss to No.15 Rockhurst University at Greene Stadium Wednesday evening.
The loss slips Jewell to 4-11-2 on the season and 4-10-1 in the GLVC. Rockhurst moves to 15-1-2 overall and 12-1-2 in league play.
The Hawks got on the board in the 29th minute when Jessica Smelcer scored her first goal of the year for Rockhurst.
Nicole Keeve extended the lead to 2-0 on an unassisted goal at the 48:34 mark.
The Hawks outshot the Cards 23-6 on the day. The Cardinals were led by
Shalynn Thomas and
Aspen Hawkins' two shots a piece.
Jordan Lewis collected 10 saves in goal.
