The William Jewell men's tennis team lost to University of Illinois-Springfield on Friday afternoon 8-1.

Jewell's lone win came in singles competition at No. 5 from first-year player Caul Pearson.

 The Cardinals fall to 3-11 overall and will take on Lewis and Clark College and Findlay University tomorrow  at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively.
