The William Jewell men's soccer team moved to 2-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and 2-1 overall with a 4-1 win over Wisconsin Parkside on Sunday afternoon at Greene Stadium.

In the opening half, Jewell took a 2-0 lead over the Rangers as
Blake Lines connected on a header after a
Charlie Parrish corner kick in the 16
th minute for his first goal of the season.
In the closing moments of the half
Hunter Short found the back of the net to push Jewell's lead to 2-0 at the break.
In the second half, the goals came in bunches as the Rangers hit a penalty kick to get on the board.
In the 58th minute freshman
Charlie Parrish, who has made his presence felt early in his career, broke away for the goal. Just over a minute laster junior
Aaron Froehlich scored his first goal of the year to make it a 4-1 Cardinal lead.
Quinn Ruggeri recorded one save to make the score stand.
Jewell outshot the Rangers 16-8 including 8-2 in the opening half. Froehlich's four shots and three on goal led the Cardinals who also got three shots from
Blake Lines.
Along with his goal, Parrish recorded two assists while Froehlich,
Teddy Gifford, and
Jeff Nickel each grabbed one.
Up next, the Cardinals travel to Indianapolis on Friday followed by a matchup with Saint Joseph's College on Sunday afternoon.
