The William Jewell College women's soccer team suffered their third Great Lakes Valley Conference loss of the season Friday evening as host Maryville University scored late in the second half to prevail by the final score of 1-0. Jewell falls to 1-4-2 overall and 1-3-1 in the GLVC. Maryville improves to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in league play.
The Cardinals struggled to get shots off during the game as the Saints held Jewell to only two shots the entire game.
The Cards held Maryville scoreless in the first half as both teams went into halftime tied 0-0.
As the game seemed destined for overtime, the Saints scored at the 62:51 mark in the game to capture the win by the final score of 1-0.

Aspen Hawkins were the only Cardinals to get a shot off in the game.
