The William Jewell men's soccer team dropped to 2-7 overall and 0-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference after a 3-0 loss to Maryville on Sunday afternoon. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• '1 Pontus Gitselov broke the ice with a goal to put MU on top 1-0. 
• '4 Gitselov scored his second goal in the first four minutes to put the Saints up 2-0 
• '77 Gitselov completed the hat trick with his third goal off the right wing. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals were out shot 15-7 with all seven shots coming from different players

IN GOAL

• Quinn Ruggeri dropped to 1-4 on the season while posting six saves.

The Cardinals are on the road next weekend for matchups with Missouri St. Louis on Friday evening, followed by a trip to McKendree on Sunday afternoon.
