Box Score The William Jewell men's soccer team hosted Upper Iowa University in non-conference action on Wednesday where they dropped a 2-1 decision. The loss moves the Cardinals to 3-9 on the season 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• 35:14 - Noah Espinosa scored his second goal of the season from the left side to put Jewell on top early 1-0. 
• 51:45 - Italio Martins Soares knotted things up with the goal from the center, his third of the season, off the assist from Ruairidh Crawford. 
• 77:41 - The Peacocks' winning goal came off the foot of Seth Russell following a corner kick. 

LEADERS OF THE FLIGHT:

• The Cardinals were out shot 16-11 overall. 
• Drew Dempsey and Derek Bullis led Jewell with two shots each. 
• Chris Cotton recorded the Cardinals' only assist on the night. 

YOU SHOULD NOTE:

• In what became a very physical game, 26 fouls, eight yellow cards, and a red card were handed out.
