Timo Kiesslich has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men's tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday. Kiesslich, a native of Diez Germany, helped lead the Cardinals to a 2-1 week last week with wins over Concordia and Nebraska Wesleyan. In the Cardinals 7-2 loss to No. 21 Nebraska Kearney, Kiesslich won at No. 2 doubles with freshman
Bjorn Myers and won a thrilling three set match at No. 3 singles.
During the weekend Kiesslich went 3-0 in doubles with Myers and 3-0 in singles and is currently 4-0 in singles play on the season.
This is Kiesslich's first ever Player of the Week award and the first ever Cardinal Men's Tennis Player of the Week award in the GLVC.
