The William Jewell College men's tennis team continued Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Monday, travelling to Rockhurst where the Hawks were 9-0 winners. The Cardinals slip to 6-10 on the year.
Rockhurst went ahead 3-0 after sweeping the doubles contests, though
Timo Kiesslich and
Bjorn Myers  kept their match close by falling 9-8 (7-4) at No. 1 doubles. Â
In singles play, Kiesslich battled tough in his match at No. 1, falling 6-3, 6-4.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Saturday when they host University of Missouri-St. Louis at 11 a.m. at the Plaza Tennis Center.Â
