In its final match of the 2017 campaign, the William Jewell College men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to University of Missouri-St. Louis in Great Lakes Valley Conference action Saturday afternoon at the Plaza Tennis Center.
The Tritons took an early 2-0 lead winning No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. The freshman tandem of
Timo Kiesslich and
Bjorn Myers came back from a 6-1 deficit to win a 9-7 battle at No.1 doubles.
Junior Marc Gartner won the only singles match for Jewell 7-5, 3-6 and 10-8 at No.3 singles.
The loss pushed the Cardinals to 6-11 on the year and 1-4 in GLVC play to end the schedule.
