Box Score The William Jewell College men's tennis team was defeated 8-1 by Northwest Missouri State University on Tuesday afternoon in Maryville, Mo.

The Bearcats jumped quickly out to a 2-0 lead with 8-1 wins at No.2 an No.3 doubles respectfully.
The Cardinals got on the board when the No. 1 duo of
Bjorn Myers and
Cutter Sanders defeated their second nationally ranked team in two weeks taking down the No. 13 ranked tandem from Northwest 9-7.
The Bearcats then swept all six singles matches with five of them in straight sets. Myers fell at No.1 5-7, 6-1 and 10-5.
What's Next
The Cardinals return home to host William Woods University on Friday. First-serve is set for 2:00 p.m. at Clayview Country Club.
