Braves Upend Cards 7-2

Box Score The William Jewell College men's tennis team fell 7-2 to Ottawa University this afternoon at Clayview Country Club. Jewell falls to 1-3 overall while Ottawa moves to 1-0 on the season. 
 
How It Happened
The Cardinals got out to a 1-0 lead as the No.1 doubles team of sophomore Bjorn Myers and first-year player Cutter Sanders edged out Ottawa's number one tandem 9-7.  The Braves would take No. 2 and No. 3 doubles respectively by scores of 8-0 and 8-3. 

In singles competition, Ottawa took five of the six singles matches.  Jewell's lone singles win came from senior Brian Wohlers at No. 5 singles pulling out a thrilling 7-5, 4-6, 10-7 win.   

What's Next
The Cardinals will travel to Evansville, Ind. to take on University of Southern Indiana on Friday, February, 16 at 11:00 a.m.
