Box Score The William Jewell College men's tennis team snapped a 10 game losing streak defeating Tabor College 7-2 on Saturday afternoon in Hillsboro, Kan.
How It Happened
Jewell opened the dual by getting wins from
Bjorn Myers and
Cutter Sanders at No. 1 doubles followed by
Thiago Braga and
Hayden Fulk at No. 2 doubles. The Cards fell at No. 3 doubles but led 2-1 heading into singles play.
Fulk paced the Cards in singles winning handily 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.
Thiago Braga earned his first collegiate win at No. 3 taking his match 6-2, 6-3. Sanders clinched the dual for the Cards with his 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2 while Myers battled to a three set win at No. 1. Senior
Brian Wohlers dominated at No. 5 6-0, 6-1 and Tabor earned their second point of the dual at No. 6 where Marco Martinez dropped a close 6-4, 7-6 match.
