The William Jewell men's soccer team opened up Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Friday night hosting McKendree University at Greene Stadium.  The Bearcats scored in the 83rd minute to escape with a 1-0 victory. 
 
The loss drops the Cards to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in GLVC play. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
 
    83:51 – Matthew Moran scored a header off a corner kick from Eddie Davis to score the only goal of the game.

   The Bearcats outshot the Cards 6-2 and led in corner kicks 5-2.
