Second Half Goals Doom Cardinals in Loss to Maryville

The William Jewell women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Maryville University on Sunday afternoon at Greene Stadium. The loss drops the Cardinals to 4-4-1 overall and 1-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • 57:29 - Stacie Muehling put the Saints on top first with a goal off the free kick. (1-0, MU)
  • 64:54 - Kaley Ruff put a rebound off a save in the back of the net to put Maryville up by two scores. (2-0, MU)
  • 74:39 - The Saints took a three goal lead late in the second half after a header by Kristen Sparks (3-0, MU)
  • 74:55 - Alyson Galler scored her fourth goal of the season to put Jewell on the board with a kick from 30 yards out. (3-1, MU)
