The William Jewell men's soccer team closed out the non-conference portion of the schedule with a 3-2 overtime win over Southern Nazarene on Tuesday afternoon in Bethany, Oklahoma. With the win, the Cardinals move to 3-5 on the season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 10:46 - Teddy Gifford got the scoring started early the Cardinals with a penalty kick less than 11 minutes into the game. (1-0, Jewell)
• 31:07 - The Crimson Storm got on the board with a goal by Marcel Joseph in the 31st minute. (1-1)
• 37:43 - Just over six minutes later SNU took the lead with a goal by Cristian Hernandez. (2-1, SNU)
• 54:33 - Griffin King got the second half started right for Jewell with his first career goal off the assist from Noah Espinosa. (2-2)
• 97:55 - With less than three minutes to play in the first overtime Gifford found the back of the net for the golden goal off Espinosa's second assist of the day. (3-2, Jewell)
