The William Jewell men's soccer team traveled east on Friday to take on No. 12 Bellarmine and ran into a red hot Knights team that defeated the Cardinals 8-1. Jewell fell to 1-13-2 on the season and 1-11-2 in league action. 

How it Happened

• The Knights jumped on top early with a penalty kick followed by three goals over a 20 minute span late in the opening half. 
• Bellarmine added four more tallies in the second half to take a commanding lead. 
• Charlie Parrish scored his second goal of the season on a shot from 25 yards out. 

For the Cardinals

• Jewell finished with nine shots and five on goal led by Noah Espinosa's two.
• Logan Horn recorded the assist on Parrish's goal. 
• Jayden Hicks finished with six saves. 

For the Knights

• Bellarmine posted 15 shots on goal and were led by Tomas Bernedo who finished with four including two goals. 
• Keeper Connor Range had three saves.
