The William Jewell men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to Truman State on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals fall to 0-5 and 0-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. 

How it Happened

• The Cardinals jumped on top early as Charlie Parrish scored from five yards out on the left in the 13th minute. 
• Truman tied the game on a goal by Jeff Masters in the 33rd minute. 
• After a rain delay of more than an hour the Bulldogs came out and scored the game winner off a one yard by Matt Yankowitz in the 81st minute. 

For the Cardinals

• Griffin King led the Jewell offense with a career-high four shots and also posted an assist. 
• Jose Cambreros finished with four saves. 

For the Bulldogs

• Yankowitz was tops for the Bulldogs with three shots. 
• Jake Koenig had the helper on both Truman goals.
