LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell swimming program hosted the first on-campus athletic event since early March on Friday night in the Mabee Center. The Cardinal men won nine of 11 events to down Truman State 132-72 while the women fell 127-78. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Austin Wolfe led the Cardinals with two individual wins in the 400 and 800 meter free with times of 4:24.37 and 9:00.91, respectively. 
• Evan Guichard followed up with a victory in 200 free at 1:59.05 while Casey Bach held off Truman's Jacob Pocivasek to win the 50 free with a mark of 24.63. 
• Freshmen Drew Atwood and Jacob Berkheimer made their collegiate debuts in style with a wins in the 100 fly and 100 free with times of 58.63 and 54.18, respectively.
• Another newcomer, Noah Witzki wrapped up the individual victories in the 100 backstroke, more than 3.5 seconds faster than the second place athlete at 58.01.  
• For the women, freshman Audrey Duchscherer earned Jewell's only win in the 200 free with a time of 2:13.68.
• Jewell won three of four relays as Witzki, Atwood, Bach and Ahmed El Gammal led off with a mark of 3:59.24 to dominate the 400 medley, nearly seven seconds faster than the second place team from Truman. 
• Duchscherer, Emily Sawyer, Claire Hays and Sidney MacGillivray teamed up to win the women's 400 free at 4:09.78. For the men, Witzki, Bach, Wolfe and Berkheimer posted a time of 3:33.32 in the same event to close the duel.
