SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The William Jewell men's and women's swimming teams traveled south to Springfield on Friday afternoon for a duel with the Panthers of Drury University. On the men's side, Drury defeated the Cardinals 135-67 while the Jewell women fell 151-40.
Noah Witzki led the Cardinals with two individual wins in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:55.14, along with the 50 free at 21.42, narrowly beating out Drury's Aidan Scott.
The top performer on the women's side was freshman
Audrey Duchscherer who finished second in both the 200 free and 200 backstroke.
In the relays, the men's 400 medley team of Witzki,
Jacob Wheatman,
Drew Atwood and
Collin Geurts posted a winning time of 3:32.41.

The Jewell women are back in action on Thursday, January 14 as they host Division I Kansas at Kregse Pool. Both squads will travel to Leavenworth, Kansas on January 16 to take on Saint Mary.
