LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's soccer team opened Sunday's match with Lewis University with a strong first half, scoring two goals, but the Flyers used a big second half to run away with the win. The Cardinals drop to 0-12-2 and 0-10-1 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell went on top early with a goal in the 11th minute as Alex Johnson scored on a feed from Katie Kamies and throw in from Clara Fronabarger. 
• The Flyers tied the match in the 30th minute but Corrine Hughes converted a penalty kick just over eight minutes later to put the Cardinals in front at the half. 
• Lewis scored four second half goals with the game winner coming in the 55th minute by Cameron Sengstock. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals were out-shot 22-7 and 12-4 in shots on goal, led by Hughes' three. 
• Emily Glassman finished with seven saves.

Jewell hits the road for the remainder of the season with a stop at Truman State next Friday night.
