ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The William Jewell women's soccer team held Lewis University scoreless for more than 90 minutes but a late goal pushed the Flyers past the Cards, 1-0. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cardinals were held to just one shot during regulation but managed three in the overtime. 
• Lewis scored the golden goal in the 94th minute on a goal by Courtney Sengstock.

FOR THE CARDINALS

• Lexy Hawkins got off two shots while Kayla Crowder and Olivia Chalabi added one each. 
• Kaylie Kappelmann finished with three saves. 

FOR THE FLYERS

• The Flyers totaled 12 shots, led by three from Sengstock. 
• Emily Villasenor had one save.

The Cardinals' match at Illinois Springfield, scheduled for Sunday, was canceled. Jewell will return to action on Thursday as they host Quincy at 5 p.m.
