EUREKA, Mo. - The William Jewell men's golf team wrapped up the 2020-2021 season on Monday at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship at Fox Run Golf Course. The Cardinals finished 12th overall with Indianapolis, Maryville, Missouri-St. Louis and Missouri S&T advancing to Tuesday's match play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals were able to keep ahead of Quincy throughout the tournament, separating themselves for good in round two with a six-stroke advantage over the Hawks.
- Cayden Yourdon paced the Jewell team finishing in a tie for 49th with a score of 243. The senior finished among the top-20 on Par 3s, at three over and an average of 3.25.
- Stephen Radley posted a 251, including a team-best 78 in round one, with six birdies to place 58th.
- In his first championship action, freshman Brenden Day was two strokes behind Radley at 253 while Fredrik Hersley finished with a score of 255 and one spot back.
- Martin Stegberg followed close behind at 257 and 62nd place.
