LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's soccer team fell by a final of 1-0 on Saturday to Truman State University. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Truman put up nine shots in the opening half but the Cardinals held things scoreless. 
• The Bulldogs scored the game winner early in the second half, in the 50th minute, by Hanna Hickey. 

FOR THE CARDINALS

• Jewell had four total shots, one each by Kate Lawrence, Katie Pohl, Kayla Crowder and Lexy Hawkins. 
• Kaylie Kappelman had six saves. 

FOR THE BULLDOGS

• The Bulldogs finished with 17 shots, led by four from Paige Peterson.
