LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Rogers State on Sunday afternoon in Greene Stadium. The Cardinals fall to 0-2 on the young season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Rogers State jumped on top early with a goal in the seventh minute by Vanessa Gonzalez before adding another in the 19th minute by Desiree Morgas. 
• Jewell got off four shot on goal in the second half but could not score. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals posted 16 shots, led by Clara Fronabarger and Jayme Coon with four a piece, while Rogers State had 19. 
• Katie Wagenheim finished with five saves.
