LIBERTY, Mo. – The William Jewell men's soccer team begins an Illinois road trip on Friday with a stop at Quincy University before heading to the capital city to take on Illinois Springfield.

INSIDE THE SERIES

• The Cardinals are searching for their first win over Quincy since 2012, going 1-9-1 since joining the league. The Hawks took last season's meeting 3-2. 
• Jewell is 5-6 against Illinois Springfield but have dropped the last five meetings, including a tough 4-0 decision in 2021.  
   

CARDINAL NOTES

• Walker Bond continues to rank among the GLVC's best with three assists on the season, eighth in the league. His seven total points is tied with Cole Bulgren and Ethan Nichols for tops on the team. 
• Jose Arellano is fourth in the league with a save percentage of 78.3% and leads the GLVC with 6.00 saves per game.  
• Carson Lee and Ethan Nichols have each entered the top-15 chart in the NCAA era in career points in recent weeks. Lee is tied with Chris Binns (2011-12) for 11^th with 17 points while Nichols sits directly behind, tied with Noah Espinosa (2017-20) for 13^th with 16 total points.
• Jewell enters the week ranked 11^th in the GLVC with 9.44 shots per game, with 4.67 on target.
