EMPORIA, Kan. - The William Jewell men's and women's track and field teams opened the outdoor portion of the season on Saturday at the Emporia State Relays. The Cardinals posted four career best marks. 

INDIVIDUAL TOP PERFORMANCES

• Justen O'Brien, 400 meter dash (49.67) - 19th place 
• Nathan Lightfoot, discus (39.51 meters) - 22nd place
• Raeghan Meyer, javelin (34.80 meters) - 25th place 
• Ian Hoffman, javelin (49.49 meters) - 29th place*
