Indoor Season Continues At Wichita State

WICHITA, Kan. - The William Jewell indoor track and field teams took part in the Coach Wilson Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
 
WOMEN
• 200 Meter: Lux Sands finished 24th with a time of 27.73. Leila Moore placed 30th with a 28.52, while Kennedy Vernon placed 31st with a 28.58. Maddy Follmer clocked 30.49.
• 400 Meter: Moore clocked a time of 1:04.77, placing her at 17th. Following her was Sands, who placed 18th, timing 1:07.32, and Vernon, 21st, witha  time of 1:07.87. Follmer clocked 1:09.79.
• Mile: The lone cardinal, Jessica Baker, clocked 6:28.35.
• 3000 Meter: The solo cardinal, Sadie Camp, posted a time of 13:37.27.
• Long Jump: Taking 20th place, Sands jumped a 4.82m, while Mia Ryan placed24th, posting a 4.47m.
• Shot Put: Ryan took 18th, tossing a 10.47m.
 
MEN
• 200 Meter: Connor Hull finished 3rd in 22.30, following close behind, KonnerPoynter, who finished 8th with a time of 22.80. Kain Sourbeer was 28th at 23.72. Korbin Pugh clocked 23.97.
• 400 Meter: Hull took 1st place, leading the Cardinals with a time of 50.04, followed by Poynter, who clocked a 51.28 – magnificent for 5th. Daniel Williams finished 17th, with a time of 52.30, and following behind was Sourbeer, placing 34th with a respective time of 53.72.
• Mile: Sincere Davis finished top-10, 6th, running a 4:33.36 and Mason Kusters followed behind him with a 5:02.23.
• Pole Vault: Lukas LePage finished 9th in the field, clearing a height of 4.54m, while Fehler Jayden threw a height of 3.79m.
• Long Jump: Myles Vohs was the lone Cardinal on the men's side in the event, taking 24th place with a 6.16m jump.
• Weight Throw: Bradan Dickinson took sixth place with a 17.02m, Keonne Gladden threw a 15.38m, finishing 10th . Korbin Dow was 19th with a 12.96m, while Jafaree Brown posted a 11.87m.
• Shotput: Dickinson finished 10th in the field with a toss of 13.99m, Keonne Gladden was behind him at 13th with a 13.88m throw. Dow rounded out the Cardinals at 12.40m.

UP NEXT
The teams will continue the indoor season on Friday at the Bearcat Invite hosted by Northwest Missouri State University.
