KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's golf team started their season in a big way on Wednesday, finishing the Rockhurst Invitational shooting a 592 as a team to set the NCAA era 36-hole record, best the 2013 mark by four strokes.
THE LINEUP
- Fredrik Hersley led the pack with a score of 145, good enough to finish seventh overall and tie for fourth in the NCAA era for a 36-hole round performance. The senior shot a 71 on day two to jump up the ranks.
- Aiden Sanders tied for ninth with a 147 while Scotty Jolly finished in a tie for 13th overall at 149.
- Stephen Radley posted a 151 to tie for 20th and Martin Stegberg rounded out the Cardinal lineup at 161.
