The William Jewell men's soccer team will look to continue their early momentum into this weekend as they travel to Missouri-St. Louis on Friday before returning home to host Missouri S&T on Sunday.
Series History
Jewell has not yet defeated Missouri-St. Louis in the NCAA era, sitting at 0-10, but nearly pulled off a comeback last season. Jewell scored two goals in the second half from Mikhail McComie and Cole Bulgren, but fell 3-2.

The Cardinals and Miners have seen some very competitive meetings in the last 10 years, with Jewell going 3-7-2. Four of the last five meetings have gone into overtime with two ending in a draw.

Let's Recap
The Cardinals are coming off a big 3-1 win over Southwest Baptist on Sunday after a 1-1 draw with Drury last Friday. After falling into a 1-0 hole, Cole Bulgren and Walker Bond each scored in a span of two minutes before Carson Lee added a penalty kick in the 57th minute.

Cardinal Notes
  • Walker Bond has taken six shots this season with nearly 67% on goal, putting the sophomore 14th in Division II in shot accuracy. His 1.33 shots on goal per game are fourth best in the GLVC.
  • Carson Lee is third in the league with 0.67 goals per game through the first two weeks of conference play. The senior is also one of eight players to convert a penalty kick this season. With his two scores already in 2022 he has moved into a tie for eighth in the NCAA era with seven career goals.
  • Jose Arellano earned his first win in goal as a Cardinal last week and had 11 saves in 270 minutes.
