LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's soccer team travels to the eastern state line this weekend to take on two of the top teams in the GLVC in Maryville and No. 15 ranked McKendree.

THE SERIES

• Jewell is 4-5-3 against Maryville in the last 10 years and will be looking for their first win since 2019. 
• The Cardinals are looking for their first win over McKendree since joining the NCAA, going 0-8-2. 

LET'S RECAP

• Jewell put up a second half rally on Sunday against Missouri S&T but fell 2-1. 
• Corrine Hughes collected a rebound and poked it into the back of the net to cut the deficit in half in the 59th minute. 

CARDINAL NOTES

• Hughes scored her sixth goal of the season on Sunday which ranks 32nd nationally and is tied for tops in the league. The senior also boasts 13 total points to lead the GLVC, tied for ninth in a single season in the NCAA era. 
• Kate Lawrence recorded her third assist of the season and enters the week ranked second in the GLVC with 0.33 assists per game. 
• Katie Wagenheim ranks third in the conference with 34 total saves while Taylor Thompson is seventh with 28.
