LIBERTY, Mo – The William Jewell mens soccer team recorded their second straight draw, this time against the Missouri S&T Miners. The 2-2 tie moved the Cardinals to 0-7-2 on the year, and 0-4-2 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miners converted a penalty kick to take the early 1-0 lead. Jewell put four shots up in the first half, one on goal by Alexis Ibarra, but was unable to connect.
- Down by two, Cole Bulgren scored assisted by Brian Vidal to cut the lead to one.
- Sam Wambold tied it up on a penalty kick with 90 seconds left to give Jewell their second straight draw.
KEY STATS
- Jewell's two goals by Bulgren and Wambold are the most the Cardinals have scored this season.
- The Cardinals out shot S&T 14-10, and had three more corner kicks than the Miners.
