LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's soccer team lost their Senior Day match 2-1 after two goals by the Quincy University Hawks in the second half. The loss moves Jewell to 0-10-3, 0-7-3 in conference play. The Cardinals recognized their 10 seniors before the game including Trey Berman, Ethan Jayaram, Ethan Nichols, Sam Wambold, Cole Bulgren, James Schneider, Chris Lee, Paul Choi, Jose Arellano, and MJ Fritz. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Both teams had a quiet opening half, with Cole Bulgren putting up a shot on goal before teams entered halftime tied at zero.
• Alexis Ibarra gave Jewell the 1-0 lead in the 61' with a strike into the top left hand corner of the net after a Cole Bulgren cross to the middle of the box.
• Quincy would answer back with a pair of late goals, including a header off of a corner kick with three minutes left to give the Hawks the victory. 

KEY STATS

• Ibarra notched his third goal of the year, second in GLVC action.
• Senior Jose Arellano had three saves.
