LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's soccer team lost their regular season finale 8-0 on the road against their crosstown rival Rockhurst University.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rockhurst got on the board first in the five minutes into the game. Senior Kate Lawrence put up a shot on goal in the 17' as the Cardinals would go into halftime trailing by five.
- The second half found Jewell unable to dig out of the first-half hole with the Hawks netting three more goals.
KEY STATS
William Jewell finished their 2023 campaign with a 1-14-1 record overall and 1-11-1 within the GLVC. The squad will say farewell to five seniors,
Juliann Smith,
Rylie May,
Kate Lawrence,
Aubrey Avalos, and
Abbey Negosian as the team will return the bulk of the roster for the 2024 season.
