Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The William Jewell men's tennis team held on to defeat Maryville University 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference matchup. The win moves the Cardinals to 5-4 on the season.
The Cardinals took the doubles points after
Max Quennery and
Julien Lafranchise won at No. 2 and
Ugnius Bickauskis and
Cory Conley won 6-1 at No. 3
Leading 2-0 the Cardinals got another point as Quennery won a dominant 6-1, 6-0 match at No. 2 singles. Maryville scored the next two points to pull within one before freshman
Gage Foltz clinched the team win with a 6-4 victory in the third set at No. 3.
