OWASSO, Okla. - The William Jewell men's golf team continued their strong start to the spring season, posting a team score of 899 at the Hillcat Classic to break below 900 for the first time and set the NCAA 54-hole team scoring record. The Cardinals finished fifth overall, while the host, Rogers State won the team title.
THE LINEUP
- Bryson Oots led Jewell with a top-10 finish, posted a three round score of 222.
- Stephen Radley finished directly behind Oots at 223 after posting a career best round of 71 in the finale, an improvement of eight strokes from round two.
- Fredrik Hersley gave the Cardinals three players in the top-20, finishing tied for 16th with a score of 224.
- Scotty Jolly picked up a score of 235 while Drew Munson was just behind at 239 to tie for 40th.
- Evan Highfill rounded out the field at 55th with a score of 256.
